The entity is also responsible for facilitating participation of citizen companies in the petroleum sector. Wholly owned by the Government of Botswana, represented by Ministry of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security; the company functions under defined governance and operating principles to inform and guide its operations. Botswana Oil Limited is registered under the Company’s Act and started operating in July 2013. 2.
