Yousef Akbar

Yousef Akbar, MBA, SPHR, currently serves as the Assistant General Manager of Human Resources at Boubyan Bank, a position held since May 2015, where responsibilities include developing a people strategy to support the bank's growth and fostering a workplace conducive to top talent attraction and development. Prior to this role, Yousef held positions at Burgan Bank as the Manager of Remuneration & Payroll and at Agility in various HR roles, including Assistant Manager and Supervisor. Educationally, Yousef completed an Executive Education program in General Management at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, earned an MBA with a focus on Human Resources Development from Kuwait University, and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Gulf University for Science & Technology.
