Tom Johnson

Tom joined Boulay in 1984, was promoted to partner in 1998, and is now Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. As the Managing Partner, he is responsible for the growth of the firm, its people, and the quality of the Boulay work product and service. Tom is also responsible for the culture, vision, mission and character of Boulay’s staff.

With more than 30 years of experience, Tom specializes in providing taxation and management consulting services for a variety of industries including real estate, professional services, manufacturing and closely-held businesses. He consults with clients on mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, and structuring of business transactions, and he advises clients on transactional issues involving deal structuring, buying, selling or trading assets, and closing on deals in the most tax efficient manner available. Tom researches complex tax issues and recommends creative solutions to these issues, and he assists individuals and business entities in tax planning designed to minimize liability. Tom also represents and assists in the examination of income tax returns by the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities.
