Michael Butterman

Michael Butterman is an accomplished conductor with extensive experience in various orchestral and educational settings. Currently serving as Music Director for the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra, and Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Michael Butterman has been influential in the music community since 2006 with the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra. Their prior roles include Principal Conductor for Education and Community Engagement at the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and Resident Conductor at the Jacksonville Symphony. Michael Butterman also held the position of Director of Orchestras at Louisiana State University. Michael Butterman holds degrees from Indiana University Bloomington, the University of Maryland, and the University of Virginia.
