Hugh Podmore

Hugh Podmore has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Hugh started their career as a Senior Consultant at Monitor Deloitte, where they focused on strategy consulting in the media and FMCG industries. Hugh then joined Deloitte as a Non-Executive Director, where they were responsible for governance and oversight of their charitable foundation.

Afterward, Podmore worked as a Strategy Lead at News Corp Australia and later became the CEO and Co-founder of Kindy Pty Ltd, a technology startup. Hugh also served as the Chairman of IslandAdventurer, a Chinese outbound tourism company.

Podmore then moved on to become an Executive Manager at Commonwealth Bank, leading teams in developing strategies and solutions in the payments sector. Hugh also held the role of Non-Executive Director at Sittr, Australia's leading childcare booking app.

Furthermore, Podmore has been involved in various industry and non-profit organizations, such as the Minderoo Foundation and CBHS Corporate Health, where they held the position of Non-Executive Director.

Currently, Podmore is the Managing Director at Bound, where they work in experience design, commerce, and technology solutions for ASX100-listed companies and government organizations.

Hugh Podmore obtained a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2019. Hugh completed their Commerce/Arts (Hons 1st class) degree in Managerial economics from UNSW between 2004 and 2009. In 2006-2007, they studied Economics at Universidad de Zaragoza. Additionally, they attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2002, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
