Councillor - Cabinet Lead Member For Adult Social Care at Bournemouth Borough Council

Blair Crawford has extensive experience in public service and community engagement, currently serving as a Councillor and Cabinet Lead Member for Adult Social Care at Bournemouth Borough Council since May 2011. Elected as a Conservative Councillor, Blair leads the Adult Social Care portfolio, demonstrating commitment to local governance. Blair also holds the position of Vice Chair for both Bournemouth 2026 Trust and Moorlands Christian Theology and Training College, contributing to various community initiatives. Prior to these roles, Blair was the Executive Director of Bournemouth YMCA for 24 years, culminating a 38-year career with the organization. Additionally, Blair served as Chair of the Bournemouth Partnership Investing in People Forum from January 2007 to January 2011. Blair's educational background includes studies at YMCA National College from 1974 to 1976.
