Alex Savanyu is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in urban planning and consulting. Currently serving as an Associate and Senior Planner at Bousfields Inc. since November 2019, Alex has previously held the position of Senior Planner at Johnston Litavski Ltd. from December 2015 to November 2019. Alex's expertise encompasses a wide range of planning advisory services for both public and private sector clients, including the preparation of Planning Rationale reports and managing development applications. Prior roles include Planning Consultant at UrbanSpec Consulting, Special Assistant for the City of Toronto, Community Engagement Coordinator at Rexdale Community Hub, Project Management Consultant for United Way of Greater Toronto, and Development Coordinator at Flat Iron Building Group Inc. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University, completed in 2013.

Bousfields Inc. is one of the pre-eminent community planning firms in Ontario with special expertise in urban design, planning policy, community design, development approvals, community consultation and project management. Bousfields offers a full range of land use planning and urban design services to the development industry, municipalities and government agencies.
