Our history is as steep as our slopes. Bousquet began as a mink farm, but after the Great Depression, Clarence J. “Clare” Bousquet permitted the Mount Greylock Ski Club to carve out our inaugural ski slope. Innovations quickly followed: Bousquet's first rope tow in 1935 drew more visitors and gave birth to the rope tow gripper, protecting skiers and selling half a million units. We also pioneered night skiing by lighting the runs with General Electric's floodlights in 1936.

Bousquet's future shines brightly as we uphold our commitment to keep the mountain vibrant.
