Gijs Plantinga

Gijs Plantinga has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gijs started their career in 1996 at KPN as a Project Manager and Interim Manager. From 1998 to 2001, they worked as a Senior Real Estate Consultant at Diephuis Stevens. Gijs then joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands, where they served as a Senior Portfolio Manager for Asia and the Americas from 2001 to 2007. In 2007, they joined MN as a Fund Manager for North America until 2009. Currently, Gijs is employed at Bouwinvest, where they have held various roles since 2009. Gijs started as the Director of North American Investments and later assumed the role of Director of Strategic Business Development. Gijs'sresponsibilities at Bouwinvest include overseeing the real estate portfolio, managing unlisted investments, acquisition and disposition of investment vehicles, investment planning, and serving on multiple advisory boards. Additionally, Gijs has been a part of the management team and the investment committee. Gijs also served as the Vice Chairman and interim Chairman of the Worker's Council from 2011 to 2013.

Gijs Plantinga attended Delft University of Technology from 1987 to 1994, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Real Estate Management. Prior to their time at Delft University, they also attended Stedelijk Gymnasium Leiden, although specific information about their degree or field of study is unavailable.
