Matthew J. Warta

Matt Warta is a Managing Director on Bow River Capital’s Software Growth Equity (SGE) team. With his colleagues John Raeder and Steve Joanis, Matt oversees the sourcing and due diligence of majority-control transactions, leads the boards of directors across multiple portfolio companies and builds strong relationships with founders and CEOs in Bow River Capital’s Software Growth Equity portfolio.

Prior to joining Bow River, Matt was an executive at EverCommerce, Inc., where he led the combination of five client-centered digital marketing firms. Prior to EverCommerce, he was the CEO and Co-founder of GutCheck for more than 10 years. GutCheck was at the forefront of creating advanced, automated analytics for Fortune 500 brands. In 2014, during his tenure at GutCheck, Matt was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.

Matt started his career at Koch Ventures (now Koch Disruptive Technologies) and was an early partner of Village Ventures, which focused on investing in early-stage and growth-stage companies.

Matt earned a BS in Journalism and an MBA from The University of Kansas.
