Alison joined Bow Valley College as a Development Officer in September 2022. Alison’s portfolio is focused on Annual Giving with a dedicated effort in student awards involving activities such as Giving Day and the Choices Program.
Alison has a passion for making post-secondary education accessible and much of Alison’s background has focused on student funding and the student experience allowing her to see first-hand the impact that award opportunities can have on individuals. Prior to working at Bow Valley College, Alison worked for SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) as a Funding Specialist where she was responsible for developing and maintaining the student award processes for students completing digital transformation bootcamps. Before that, Alison worked at the University of Calgary in Financial Aid supporting the student loan process which included the disbursement of over $140M in government funds annually and also held a role in Undergraduate Student Recruitment where she managed a team who supported the prospective student experience while executing both small- and large-scale events across campus.
In her free time Alison enjoys staying active, cooking, baking, listening to podcasts, trying new restaurants and spending time with her friends and family.

At Bow Valley College our business is adult education. We provide programs designed to help students build their skills through academic foundations, careers programs that last less than a year in Health, Business and Industry, and English as a Second Language training.
