Tony Wigglesworth

Tony recently joined Bow Valley College as the Associate Dean for the School of Technology and Centre for Entertainment Arts on November 1st, 2021. He has over 15 years of leadership experience in research and innovation, and has built successful partnerships between Universities, industry, and government labs.

He previously served as the Associate Director of the Technology Transfer Office at Innovate Calgary, the University of Calgary’s Innovation Transfer Office and Business Incubator. Prior to joining Innovate Calgary, Tony was a research scientist and project manager with Xerox Research Centre Canada where he brought several new technologies to market and was an inventor on 47 issued US patents. Tony has a PhD in Chemistry from Simon Fraser University, completed an NSERC postdoctoral fellowship at ETH Zurich and recently completed a Business Leadership Development Certificate from the Haskayne School of Business.

Tony is passionate about helping student entrepreneurs succeed and enjoys coaching and mentoring local technology start ups.
