Bénédicte Yenyi

Bénédicte Yenyi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Bénédicte started their career as a News Reporter for The Daily Illini in 2018 and also worked as a Volunteer for UNICEF at UIUC during the same period. In 2020, they joined Kohl's as a Customer Service Associate and later became a Licensed Retention Specialist at State Farm® from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they served as a News Anchor, Producer, and Reporter for UI7 Live, where they produced and anchored nightly news and reported on various events in the Urbana-Champaign community.

Bénédicte also worked as a Press Intern for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in 2022 and as a Community Technician for the Bowery Residents' Committee in the same year. In 2023, they worked as an Executive Intern for the State of Vermont.

Bénédicte's most recent experience includes serving as a Graduate Consultant for the United Nations in 2023. In this role, they worked on a team of graduate student consultants under the supervision of a faculty advisor. Bénédicte'sresponsibilities included producing a policy document to implement the SDG Stimulus plan in the African region and designing new modeling strategies and policies for sustainable development infrastructure and agriculture, with a focus on financing from the African Development Bank and other Multilateral Development Banks.

Bénédicte Yenyi's education history began in 2015 when they graduated from Normal Community High School with a High School Diploma, focusing on General Studies. From 2016 to 2018, they attended Heartland Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies.

In 2018, Bénédicte enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Science. Bénédicte completed their undergraduate studies in 2021. During their time at the university, they also had the opportunity to study at the National Taiwan University from 2019 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government.

In June 2022, Bénédicte obtained a certification in Consulting Foundations from LinkedIn. Additionally, in August 2020, they acquired the Licensed Insurance Producer certification from NIPR.

Currently, Bénédicte is pursuing their Master of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs at Columbia | SIPA, with an expected completion date in 2023.
