Shaniece Jefferson

Community Technician at BOWERY RESIDENTS COMMITTEE INC

Shaniece Jefferson started their work experience in 2014 with an internship at Ujima Community Working Together. In 2014, they also worked as a Community Technician at Bowery Residents' Committee, where they provided transitional residence and support for homeless individuals with mental illnesses and other challenges. Since 2016, Shaniece has been working as a House Manager at Services for the UnderServed, where they provide shift coverage, crisis intervention, medication monitoring, and other responsibilities related to client care and facility management.

Shaniece Jefferson attended Metropolitan College of New York from 2014 to 2015 and obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Human Services, General. Prior to that, they attended Career Institute of Health and Technology from 2006 to 2008 and received a diploma in Medical Billing & Office Technology in August 2008.

Shaniece also holds several additional certifications. Shaniece obtained a CPR certification in July 2014. Shaniece completed Crisis Intervention & Prevention Care training in December 2011 and Crisis Prevention Training in July 2014. In June 2008, they participated in the DFTA-Personal Care Aide Elder Abuse Workshop and Dementia Care Training. Additionally, they completed the Fire Guard For Shelters (Citywide) certification in July 2014 and SUNY Science Center Parenting Education in June 2006.
