Tyler Langlois

Tyler Langlois has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Tyler is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Bowtie, where they focus on early-stage software engineering work and is involved in operational tasks, documentation, packaging, and delivering products. Prior to this, Tyler was the owner of Post-Industrial Software Industries LLC.

Before joining Bowtie, Tyler held multiple roles at Elastic. As an Engineering Team Lead, they led a team of operations and software engineers, working on building new services on cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure. Tyler also managed team operations and worked with a wide range of technologies and programming languages. In their role as a Principal Software Engineer at Elastic, Tyler played a crucial role in architecting, deploying, and monitoring large systems. Tyler was also responsible for managing both public and internal services and contributing to various open-source projects.

Tyler began their career as a Site Reliability Engineer at Qualtrics, where they maintained and managed multiple data centers and focused on deployment, stability, and reliability. Tyler was involved in redesigning monitoring and alerting systems and driving virtualization overhauls.

Additionally, Tyler has experience working as a Research Assistant at BYU Cybersecurity Research Lab, a Center for Cyber Defenders Intern at Sandia National Laboratories, and a Web Data Analyst at Blue Coat Systems. Tyler also served as a System Administrator and Web Developer at Brigham Young University.
