Rod Smith

Rod Smith, M. Ed., currently serves as a Client-Channel Ambassador at Boxlight, a position held since January 2024. In addition, Rod has been a Foundation Board Member for Clayton County Public Schools since August 2018 and previously held the role of Chief Technology Officer within the same district from October 2013 to January 2024. Rod also contributed as an Executive Board Member for IMS Global Learning Consortium from 2015 to 2023 and directed technology and communications at Griffin-Spalding County Schools from July 2005 to October 2013. As an entrepreneur, Rod owned and operated Playmakers Photography from January 2006 to February 2009. Rod's academic background includes a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University and a degree in Technology Education from Virginia State University, along with a high school diploma from Bethel High School.
