Alasdair Munn

Alasdair Munn has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. In 1998, they served as the Editorial Director at Munn Publishing, overseeing content creation and managing advertising sales. From 1999 to 2004, they were the Director of Munn Marketing, a magazine and media distribution company, where they represented a significant portion of foreign press distribution in Zimbabwe.

In 2000, Munn became the Director of Kitty Hawk pvt Ltd, a hardwood furniture manufacturing company, where they handled the entire production process from kiln to finished product distribution. Alasdair then went on to become the Managing Director of Faldon Ltd in 2001, a role in which they were responsible for overall business operations.

From 2011 to 2013, Munn co-founded SOCME Academy, an online training center focused on digital branding and social media strategies. Alasdair helped develop the curriculum and content using a variety of learning methodologies.

In 2012, Munn served as the Digital Director at Social Presence, where they worked with SMEs, start-ups, and NGOs in the UK, USA, and developing markets. Alasdair focused on digital communication, content strategies, and data management. Alasdair also served as a Board of Trustees member at Hokoyo Wildlife Foundation, an organization focused on wildlife conservation, from 2012 to 2016.

Munn joined WE ADVANCE, a non-profit organization in Haiti, as a Board Member in 2014. Alasdair worked on various initiatives related to relief efforts and education.

From 2006 to 2018, Munn worked at tcg: The Communication Group in various roles, including President of Branded Content and VR, Digital Director, and CMO. Alasdair played a significant role in developing digital strategies, data analysis, and building digital departments and services within the agency.

Lastly, Munn currently holds the position of Chief Learning and Development at BoxPlay.io, an EdTech/MediaTech company focused on mobile web learning. Alasdair also co-founded the company and previously served as the Director of Research, Strategy, and Behavior.

Alasdair Munn has a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Industrial Psychology & Industrial Sociology from Rhodes University. Alasdair also attended St Georges College, although specific details about their degree or field of study are not provided. In addition to their formal education, Alasdair has obtained certifications in Active Listening, Negotiation, and Critical Thinking from BoxPlay, a BoxMedia Co. Alasdair completed the certifications in February and March of 2023.
