Jess Carver

Jess Carver has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of design. Jess is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at BOXT. Previously, they worked as a Lead UX/UI Designer at Salus Optima.

Before Salus Optima, Jess worked at Zone for several years where they held multiple roles. Jess started as a UX Designer and eventually became a Senior UX Designer. Later, they took on the position of Lead Experience Designer & Manager, leading agile multidisciplinary teams to build products and services for various clients. During their time at Zone, they focused on implementing lean design and research principles to create excellent user experiences. Jess also launched a mentoring community within the organization and organized SpringBoard events to provide career support to everyone.

Before Zone, Jess worked as a UX Designer at Prophecy Unlimited (Previously The Real Adventure Unlimited), where they played a crucial role in the Creative Department, finding solutions to clients' business needs and user problems.

Jess was also a Co-founder and Designer at Studio Nova LLP, where they worked closely with start-up entrepreneurs to develop commercially viable product ideas. Jess took on various design roles, including research, branding, graphic, and product design. Notably, they helped launch Levo, a wine cellar concept, from initial development to corporate branding and website development.

Early in their career, Jess worked as a Design Researcher at Kinneir Dufort, collaborating with the Innovation & Research team on medical device usability studies and exploratory innovation workshops.

Additionally, Jess has experience as an Experience Designer at Jessica Carver Design, working on various product research and design innovation projects for companies like Samsung, LEEUM: Museum of Art, Square Banana, and start-ups.

Jess Carver completed a Master of Design degree in Experience Design from the Samsung Art and Design Institute from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Product Design from Cardiff Metropolitan University between 2010 and 2013. Additionally, Jess obtained several certifications, including being a workshop facilitator for the "I Am Remarkable" program by Google in June 2023, obtaining the Notion Essentials Badge from Notion in August 2022, and completing a Service Design course by Uproar in December 2020.
