Jay Eidson is a seasoned legal professional and active leader in the scouting community with extensive experience spanning multiple decades. Currently serving as Chief of Subcamps Echo 1 & Echo 3 for the 2026 National Jamboree at Scouting America, Jay also chairs the International Committee for the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America since January 2017. In addition to leadership roles within various scouting events, including serving on the management teams for the 25th World Scout Jamboree and the 24th World Scout Jamboree, Jay has a distinguished legal career as a Senior Counsel at Sprint Nextel, among other prestigious positions in law firms and organizations. Jay's academic credentials include a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.S. in Languages & Linguistics from Georgetown University.
