John Norment

John Norment is an experienced professional with a strong background in both technology and organizational leadership. Currently serving as Council Commissioner and Board Member for the Boy Scouts of America since 2019, John has held various positions within the organization since 2004, including Council Vice-Chair roles. In addition, John has been the Senior Vice President of Professional Services and Chief Compliance Officer at Transactis, Inc., a Mastercard company, since 2009, specializing in electronic bill presentment and payment solutions. Previous positions include VP and CIO at Success Capital, VP of IT at New Century Mortgage, VP of IT at Sameday.com, and Director of IT at Informative Research. John holds several degrees including an MBA in MIS and Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business, a BA in Business, Economics, and Math from McDaniel College, and a CPA credential. John was also recognized with the Silver Beaver Award in 2013 for contributions to the Boy Scouts of America.
