Abe Sarmiento

Abe Sarmiento, CPA, CMA, MBA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. Abe'smost recent position is as the Director of Financial Operations at Boyd Group Services Inc. since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young from October 2021 to July 2023. Abe also served as a Senior Manager at Loblaw Companies Limited from August 2016 to March 2021. Before that, Abe held the role of VP-Finance and Accounting at Xerox Business Services from December 2013 to February 2015. Abe also served as VP-Finance Shared Services at Expert Global Solutions from December 2012 to November 2013, and as a Service Delivery Manager at Shell from April 2005 to November 2012.

Abe Sarmiento, CPA, CMA, MBA has a diverse education background in accounting and finance. Abe holds a Certificate of Achievement in Accounting and Finance from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and a Certified Management Accountant designation from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants in Australia. Abe also obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of the Philippines and a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting from the University of Santo Tomas. Additionally, Abe is a SAP-Trained Professional in Management Information Systems and Services, having completed the SAP Academy in the USA. Abe is also a Chartered Professional Accountant certified by CPA Canada. Further certifications include Certified Management Accountant from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Australia, and Certified Public Accountant from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission.
