Karen Widder is an experienced professional in grant writing and development, currently serving as a Grants Writer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio since July 2022. Previously, Karen held the position of Grants Manager at the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio from November 2021 to June 2022, and operated as a self-employed Grant Writer from 2012 to November 2021. Earlier in the career, Karen was the Affiliate Director at the Medina County Community Fund and Development Associate at the Battered Women's Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties. Karen's extensive background includes serving as Development Director and Managing Attorney at Community Legal Aid Services from 2003 to 2009.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland is a nonprofit organization providing safe, fun places for kids ages 6-18 in the city and inner-ring suburbs. Our Clubs offer after-school arts, academics, music, athletics and character-building programs. Our mission is to inspire and enable the young people who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
