McPpo Rebekah Pontes

Rebekah Pontes, MCPPO has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Rebekah started their career at The Limited where they held various roles including sales associate, visual manager, assistant manager, co-manager, and store manager from 1993 to 2001.

Following their tenure at The Limited, Rebekah worked at Pier 1 as a senior assistant store manager from 2004 to 2006. Rebekah then served as a store manager and later as a seasonal sales associate at Pier 1 from 2006 to 2012.

In 2009, Rebekah joined Christopher and Banks as a store manager. Rebekah also held the position of dual store manager from 2011 to 2012.

Rebekah's next career move was to The Home Depot in 2004. During their time there, they worked as a kitchen designer from 2004 to 2006, followed by the role of design consultant from 2006 to 2009. Rebekah then served as a project specialist from 2009 to 2018.

From 2014 to 2020, Rebekah worked at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Rebekah started as a front desk and finance admin in 2014 and later became a mentor program coordinator through a DOJ grant from 2015 to 2020.

Currently, Rebekah is with the City of Fall River. Rebekah joined in 2017 as a senior clerk and later assumed the position of senior accountant in 2018. Since January 2022, they have been working as an assistant treasurer.

Rebekah Pontes has a diverse education history. Rebekah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Bridgewater State University. Rebekah also completed an Associate's degree in Accounting and Finance from Bristol Community College and an Associate's degree in Interior Architecture from the New England Institute of Technology. In addition to these degrees, Rebekah is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Southern New Hampshire University, expected to be completed in 2023.

Rebekah has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. Rebekah is an Associate - MCPPO (Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General) and obtained this certification in 2023. Rebekah holds a CPCU 500 Risk Management certification from The Institutes, obtained in December 2019. Rebekah also has a VITA Advanced Certification from the Internal Revenue Service, obtained in January 2013. Additionally, they are a Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
