Mssa Kai Richardson

Kai Richardson, MSSA has a diverse work experience history. They started their career at Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland as a Social Work Intern in 2011, followed by an intern role in research and planning at Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 2012. They also served as a Graduate Resident Mentor at Case Western Reserve University and a Social Work Intern at Family Promise of Greater Cleveland in 2012. In 2013, Kai volunteered as a Social Work Volunteer at Fulton County Family Dependency Treatment Court and served as a Research Volunteer at Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In 2014, they worked as a Program Specialist in Parent Relations at Georgia State University before returning to Boys & Girls Clubs of America as a Data Coordinator. They later held roles as Planning & Measurement Coordinator, Assistant Director of Club Support Services, Executive Assistant for Youth Development, and Executive Assistant for Strategy. Currently, Kai Richardson works at Boys & Girls Clubs of America as the Manager of Administration & Strategic Projects in Government Relations.

Kai Richardson, MSSA, has an extensive educational background in the field of education administration and policy. From 2018 to 2025, Kai attended the UGA Mary Frances Early College of Education, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree specializing in Education Administration & Policy. Prior to this, Kai obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at CWRU. Their focus during their MSW studies was on direct practice, specifically working with children, youth, and families. Before entering graduate school, Kai earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Fisk University in 2011. Alongside their formal education, Kai has also obtained additional certifications in project management and change management from LinkedIn and Prosci, respectively.
