Sarah Bedy has a diverse range of work experience. Sarah most recently worked as the Director of California Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs at Boys & Girls Clubs of America starting in September 2019. Prior to that, they were the Prison Program Director and Manager at Defy Ventures from 2017 to 2019. Sarah also worked as a Program Manager at National Democratic Institute (NDI) from 2012 to 2016, and as an International Financial and Trade Reform Initiative Coordinator (Consultant) at Connect U.S. Fund from 2011 to 2012. Sarah served as a Consultant at Crude Accountability in 2011. Additionally, Sarah worked at Bank Information Center as a Europe and Central Asia Fellow and Advocacy Specialist from 2010 to 2011. Sarah started their career at National Community Reinvestment Coalition, first as a Legislative and Field Organizer (Consultant) from 2009 to 2010, and then as a Member Organizing and Advocacy Associate from 2007 to 2009. Sarah's earliest work experience was as the Executive Director/Community Organizer at Toledoans United for Social Action from 2004 to 2007.

Sarah Bedy completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in African and Afro-American Studies, at the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2003. Sarah then proceeded to George Mason University, where they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy from 2009 to 2011. In addition, they attended a summer course at the University of Oxford in 2010, focusing on the subject of "England, the EU, and Globalization."
