Karen Gallagher has a strong background in development and coaching. Karen served as the Vice President of Development at the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County from 2012 to present. Prior to that, they were the Director of Development at St.Coletta of Wisconsin from 2008 to 2012. Karen also worked as the Head Softball Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1994 to 2005.

Karen Gallagher obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Texas Woman's University, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. In addition, they completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business through The Boys & Girls Club Leadership University in Chicago, Illinois, in September 2014.

BGCDC is a non-profit youth development organization in Dane County, Wisconsin, that serves over 7,750 adolescents in eleven venues, including eight school-based sites and three classic club sites. Through exceptional programming in five major areas character & leadership development, education & career development, health & lifeskills, the arts, and sports, fitness & recreation, The clubs inspire kids to dream and teach them the skills to achieve when they're most impressionable.
