Maxine Wilson has a solid background in nonprofit management and youth services. Maxine began their career in 2001 as an Assistant Director at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, where they managed the College Bound Program and various workshops. In 2002, they moved to Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, where they held several roles, including Director of Youth Employment Services and Director of Project Discover & Citywide Educational Services. In these positions, they were responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff, managing program budgets, and facilitating workshops. In 2004, Maxine was promoted to Vice President of Operations at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco and later became the Chief Operating Officer in 2015. In these executive positions, they oversaw the organization's operational and financial budgets, mentored senior executives, and ensured the organization provided impactful services to youth and communities. Maxine has consistently demonstrated expertise in program management, budgeting, and team leadership.

Maxine Wilson completed their Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree at Lamar University from 1992 to 1996. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Nonprofit Administration (MNA) from the University of San Francisco, graduating between 2004 and 2010.
