Suresh Portillo

Suresh Portillo has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. In 2018, they worked as a Back of House staff member at Pizza Ranch. From 2018 to 2020, Suresh served as a Weekend Manager at Townsquare Coffehouse and Kitchen, where they managed shifts, interacted with customers, and performed closing duties. They also gained experience as an English Writing & Spanish Tutor, Ambassador and Admissions Intern, and Career Development Center Workstudy at Northwestern College from 2017 to 2020. In 2020, Suresh interned as a Translation & Interpreting Intern at Promise Community Health Center. At SHACK15, they worked as a Barista from April to August 2021. Their most recent role was as a Bilingual Patient Service Representative at Promise Community Health Center from November 2021 to May 2022, where they served as the first point of contact for English- and Spanish-speaking patients and promoted clinic services. In June 2022, Suresh started working as a Bilingual Research Assistant II at Boys Town National Research Hospital. They are currently employed as a Casual Medical Interpreter at Children's Hospital & Medical Center - Omaha, starting in May 2023.

Suresh Portillo attended Northwestern College from 2016 to 2020. During this time, Suresh studied Language Interpretation and Translation. In 2020, Suresh enrolled in UC San Diego Extended Studies to pursue a Certificate in Language Translation. This program is expected to be completed in 2023. Additionally, in March 2021, Suresh obtained the Customer Success Manager Certified Professional Level 1 certification from Pulse Academy by Gainsight.
