Dr Mike Bourne

Dr. Mike Bourne is a seasoned geophysicist and data scientist at bp, currently focusing on global new ventures in production and operations. With nearly 25 years of experience in the energy sector, they have contributed to various teams across West Africa, the North Sea, and other regions, earning recognition such as the PESGB Award in 2019. Previously, Dr. Bourne held pivotal roles as a Geophysical Advisor and Principal at CNOOC International and CGG, respectively, and directed projects with major companies like Hess Corporation and Genel Energy. They are currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Geophysics at the University of Leeds and have completed an MBA Essentials at the London School of Economics.
