Maj Nirmith Thakur

Maj Nirmith Thakur possesses extensive experience in security management, currently serving as Vice President of Intelligence Security & Crisis Management at bp since April 2020. Prior roles include Head of Security for South West Asia Pacific at GSK and Country Security Manager for India & South Asia at Unilever. Nirmith has a strong background in security leadership, having also held positions such as General Manager and Deputy General Manager at Reliance Power, and Manager of Operations at Dharti Dredging & Infrastructure Ltd. Their military experience includes serving as an Officer in the Indian Army's Parachute Regiment. Nirmith holds a PGCBM from the Indian Institute of Management, an advanced certificate in Cyber Security from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Additionally, Nirmith is engaged in mentoring and coaching, with interests in leadership, sustainability, resilience, and renewables.
