Namig Shaliyev

Namig Shaliyev is a seasoned professional in maintenance operations with over 13 years of experience at BP, currently serving as the Maintenance & Integration Squad Leader. In this role, Namig manages a multinational maintenance technician team at the Sangachal Terminal, focusing on maintenance operations and staff competency development. Previous positions at BP include Team Leader for the EOP/Prod Water & BTC Areas, ACG1 Area, and Offshore Maintenance Planner, where responsibilities encompassed planning and executing maintenance programs and overseeing equipment performance. Prior to BP, Namig worked as a Drill Mechanical Technician at ADC Azeri Drilling Company and held roles as a Fitter and Mechanic at Boss Shelf Offshore Jacket Build Company. Namig holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Azerbaijan Technological University and a Master’s degree in Heavy Equipment Maintenance from The University of Manchester. Additional training includes completion of courses at Baku Technical College and Caspian Tech Train Center at BP.
