Orkhan Hajiyev

Orkhan Hajiyev is an accomplished professional with over 18 years of experience in geospatial analysis and cartography. Currently serving as a Staff Geospatial Analyst and Squad Lead at bp since June 2012, Orkhan leads the development of regional geospatial capabilities and manages cross-functional projects in agile settings. Previously, Orkhan held roles such as Geospatial Information Lead and Geospatial Specialist at bp, where responsibilities included standardizing data management and providing analytical support for key operations. Prior experience includes positions as Lead Cartographer at AMA LLC and Globus Company, where Orkhan coordinated teams and ensured the accuracy of cartographic products for various infrastructure projects. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in GIS from the University of Leeds and advanced degrees in System Programming and Applied Mathematics from Baku State University.
