Sophie Hartfield Lewis

Sophie Hartfield Lewis is an accomplished director in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Director of Project Development Support & Consenting for Offshore Wind in the UK and US at bp since October 2022. With a strong background in project development and consenting, Sophie previously held several leadership positions at Ørsted, including Director of Project Development for Continental Europe and Director of North America Permitting, Environment, and Marine Affairs. Sophie's career includes key roles such as Head of UK Consents and Head of Environmental Management, where significant improvements in team performance were achieved. Earlier experience includes project development roles at SMart Wind, REG Wind Power, and Ecotricity, along with environmental management at RWE npower and RWE Trading. Sophie holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Gloucestershire.
