Mel Lau

Mel Lau is the founder and creative strategist at small nod design, where they specialize in designing experiences, spaces, and brand systems. They have a diverse background in design, having founded Lau Design in 2015 and worked as a product designer and user experience researcher at various companies, including Experiment Zone and BP3 Global. Mel served as an AIGA Changemaker Design Fellow in 2019, applying design thinking to improve outcomes for black mothers through the Black Mamas Community Collective. They hold experience in facilitating design thinking workshops and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create effective user experiences.
