Edward Lavish

MD, Portfolio Risk & Transactions at BPEA

Edward Lavish joined BPEA in 2020 and is primarily focused on mitigating financial risk across the investment life cycle, from supporting financial due diligence to portfolio monitoring and reporting to assisting with vendor due diligence and preparing portfolio companies for exit (including carve-outs). Mr. Lavish is also an expert on transaction structures / SPA’s and related closing mechanisms. Prior to joining BPEA, Mr. Lavish was an M&A partner at Deloitte based out of Hong Kong for over 14 years and served as M&A Transaction Services Leader for Asia Pacific. Prior to Hong Kong, he worked in Deloitte’s New York office, including three years as an audit partner serving global private equity clients. Prior to Deloitte, he worked in an international finance and M&A capacity at General Instrument, served as interim CFO of a multinational division of General Signal and spent 7 years at Price Waterhouse in both the US and the Netherlands.

Mr. Lavish has lived and worked in Hong Kong since 2006, is a CPA (inactive) and graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business. He has also lived and worked in the US, Europe, Latin America and India.
