Katarzyna Zientara-Rytter currently serves as Group Lead and Senior Scientist II at BPS Bioscience Inc., focusing on biochemical assay development and optimization. With extensive research experience, Katarzyna was previously a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC San Diego, where the postdoctoral project centered on peroxisome homeostasis in relation to human diseases. Additional experiences include a Visiting Research Fellow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and various roles at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics PAS, where significant contributions were made to understanding ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis and selective autophagy in plants. Educational qualifications include a Post-doc in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from UC San Diego, a PhD in Biochemistry from the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics PAS, and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego w Warszawie.
