Abid Zaman

ABID ZAMAN is an accomplished banking professional with extensive experience in credit risk management and collections. Currently serving as Executive Vice President at BRAC Bank PLC since January 2017, ABID ZAMAN leads one of the industry’s largest collections and Special Asset Management teams, overseeing over 250 staff to manage a retail asset portfolio exceeding BDT 8000 Crore. Prior to this role, ABID ZAMAN spent over a decade at HSBC, where positions included Vice President and Head of Fraud Risk, and Vice President and Head of Retail Collections & Recovery, focusing on minimizing credit losses and enhancing operational efficiency. ABID ZAMAN holds an MBA in Finance from East West University and a BBA in Accounting from Independent University, Bangladesh, along with various certifications in banking and finance.
