Mahbubur Rahman

Mahbubur Rahman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in banking and finance, currently serving as the Head of SME Liability & Cash Management at BRAC Bank Limited since June 2022, where the focus is on developing and executing strategies to grow the SME liability portfolio. Previous roles include Product Lead for Small Business at The City Bank Ltd, General Manager for Digital Credit at ShopUp, and Policy Manager for Nathan Associates, where efforts concentrated on improving policy for small businesses in Bangladesh. Additional experience encompasses senior leadership positions at ICB Islamic Bank (Bangladesh) Ltd and LankaBangla Finance Limited, as well as various roles at BRAC Bank Limited since 2010, including Head of Agriculture Finance and Head of Liability in the SME Banking Division. Mahbubur holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka and a BBA from Jahangirnagar University.
