Gail Smith

Gail Smith currently serves as the Evaluation Manager for Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture and has extensive experience in environmental and community development roles. Since 2009, Gail has been with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust as both Evaluation & Development Manager and Green Futures Programme Manager, focusing on engaging young people in environmental leadership and awareness. Previous roles include Community Worker for People and the DALES, where Gail facilitated outdoor experiences for disadvantaged groups, and Community Environmental Worker for BCEP, promoting health through organic gardening. Gail's early career included freelance environmental education, alongside a Research Assistant position at the University of Bradford, and a Teaching Assistant role at Losehill Hall. Gail holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science & Geography from the University of Bradford.
