Roma Shusterman has a diverse and extensive work experience. Roma started their career as a Researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 2007, focusing on researching information processing in the early sensory pathway and developing electromechanical systems. Roma then worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Haifa from 2012 to 2015, leading a multidisciplinary team and studying neural processing. Following this, they joined the University of Oregon as an Assistant Research Professor from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they conducted research and contributed to the field of neuroscience.

In 2018, Roma transitioned to the industry and joined the Brain Electrophysiology Laboratory as a Lead Engineer. Roma led teams of software, electrical, and mechanical engineers in developing new medical device products, managing project execution, and generating intellectual property. Roma then advanced to the position of Head of Engineering in 2020, where they were responsible for creating innovative medical products and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations. Currently, they serve as the Chief Technology Officer at the Brain Electrophysiology Laboratory, defining the company's technology strategy, managing engineering resource allocation, and setting performance metrics.

Throughout their career, Roma has demonstrated expertise in neuroscience, engineering, and research, and they have consistently shown leadership skills in managing teams and projects.

Roma Shusterman's education history begins in 1998 when they enrolled at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev to pursue their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Roma completed their undergraduate studies in 2002. The following year, in 2003, Roma returned to Ben-Gurion University to pursue a Master of Science degree in Physics, which they obtained in 2003. Roma then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Physics at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, starting in 2003 and completing their doctoral studies in 2007.

In 2017, Roma expanded their skill set by enrolling in a program titled "Self-Driving Car Engineer" offered by Udacity. Throughout this program, they focused on studying machine learning and image processing, completing their studies in 2018. Most recently, in 2022, Roma Shusterman participated in the CTO program offered by Wharton Executive Education.
