Ymelda Y’Herrera

Ymelda Y’Herrera, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer with Braination, Inc. She was the former Chief Financial Services Officer with Charter School Success with primary oversight concurrently of eight charter schools managing budgets between $3M and $23M in local, state, and federal revenue. Ymelda has 21+ years of accounting experience and 17+ years of progressive leadership experience with public and private companies. Ymelda attended college at St. Mary’s University and obtained her B.B.A. in accounting as well as a B.A. in multi-organizational studies and Spanish. She is a certified public accountant, certified in not-for-profit management and leadership, and she is one of the first graduates of the Texas Charter School Business Officer Certification Program. Ymelda continues to be involved in community service and alumni association activities with St. Mary’s University, and as an advisory board member for Crosspoint, Inc.
