Jacob Gusman

Jacob Gusman is a Graduate Researcher at BrainGate Lab, Brown University, focusing on the development of an intracortical brain-computer interface for controlling a soft robotic glove designed for individuals with tetraplegia. As a Whitaker Fellow at Chalmers University of Technology, Jacob contributed to a project aimed at enhancing the natural control of myoelectric prostheses. Previous experience includes internships at Draper, where involvement in various biomedical engineering projects occurred, and a research assistantship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, which involved computational modeling and auditory research. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester and is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Brown University.
