Head of Translational Strategy at Brainomix

Claire Fernandez has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Their most recent position is as an Associate Non-Executive Director at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where they started in January 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Translational Strategy at BRAINOMIX starting from November 2020.

Before joining BRAINOMIX, Claire served as a Non-Executive Director at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust, starting in July 2020. Claire also worked at the NIHR (National Institute for Health Research) as a Deputy Research Delivery Manager from May 2020 until November 2020.

From October 2018 to May 2020, Claire worked at the Earlham Institute as a Research Faculty Programme Manager. Prior to that, they were a Project Manager at the University of Oxford from September 2016 to October 2018. Claire previously held the position of Deputy Programme Manager at the Oxford Academic Health Science Network (Oxford AHSN) from February 2015 to September 2016.

Claire's earlier experiences include positions at the University of Oxford as a Clinical Research Coordinator from September 2011 to May 2015, at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as an Oncology and Haematology Clinical Research Officer from October 2009 to September 2011, and at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine as a Postdoctoral Researcher from July 2006 to September 2009.

Claire Fernandez completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from The University of Manchester from 1995 to 1997. Claire then pursued further education at the University of Oxford, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science/Research and Allied Professions from 2003 to 2006.
