Acacia Graddy Gamel has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Acacia began their career as a Promotions Manager at Buckyball Records from 2003 to 2005. Acacia then took on the role of Editorial Associate at The Foundation Center from 2006 to 2008. Acacia worked as a Freelance Book Reviewer at Publishers Weekly from 2006 to 2015. In 1999, they became an Independent Video Producer/Editor, delivering high-quality productions to clients in the arts, non-profit, and public sectors until 2012. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Digital Video Specialist at the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning. Acacia joined the NYC Department of Education in 2012, initially as a Resource Manager in the Office of Knowledge Sharing, where they produced, filmed, and edited instructional videos. Acacia then became the Manager of Online Learning Platforms, leading the assessment and implementation of learning management systems. Later, they served as the Senior Manager of Online Learning Platforms, overseeing the development of new features and the migration to a new build. In 2017, they took on the role of Senior Product Manager for the WeTeachNYC online professional development platform, experiencing a significant increase in active users. Acacia's most recent position is at BrainPOP, where they have held various product management roles, including Associate Director and Director. Acacia has managed the consumer product portfolio, led numerous projects, and served as Chair of the company's DEI committee.

Acacia Graddy Gamel has a diverse education history. In 1999, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. Following this, in 2003, they completed their Master of Arts degree in Communication and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Acacia continued to enhance their knowledge and skills by attending General Assembly in 2015. Here, they earned a certificate in Front End Web Design, focusing on the field of Front End Web Development.

In 2016, Acacia further expanded their expertise by obtaining a certificate in Product Management from General Assembly. This allowed their to delve into the world of product management, utilizing their problem-solving and organizational skills.

Having a passion for continuous learning, Acacia joined Reforge in 2021 to participate in an Experimentation and Testing Program. This program enabled their to explore the areas of experimentation and testing, enhancing their understanding of data-driven decision-making.

In addition to their formal education, Acacia obtained a certification in Agile at Work: Planning with Agile User Stories from the Project Management Institute in May 2017. This certification reflects their commitment to staying current with industry practices and methodologies.
