Michelle Reicher Newstadt

Michelle Reicher Newstadt has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of education and learning design. Michelle is currently working at BrainPOP as the Sr. Director of Learning Design, STEM. Prior to this, they held positions at Gooru and Expii, Inc. as Senior Director of Research & Innovation and Director of Education, respectively, where they focused on personalized learning systems and curriculum design. Michelle also has experience in academia, having worked as an Adjunct Professor in Science Education at the University of Pittsburgh, where they taught modern pedagogical approaches in curriculum and instruction. Michelle also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the university. Michelle's educational background includes a PhD from the University of Michigan, and they have previously worked as a science teacher and varsity tennis coach at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School and Friends Seminary.

Michelle Reicher Newstadt completed their PhD in Science Education at the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained an MA in Environmental Conservation Education from New York University in 2010. Michelle also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from Brown University, which they earned from 2005 to 2007.
