Vice President Of Product Design at BrainPOP

Stephanie Hom has a diverse range of experience in the field of product design and user experience. Currently, Hom holds the role of Vice President of Product Design at BrainPOP, a position they have held since October 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of User Experience from September 2016 to October 2019. Before joining BrainPOP, Hom worked as the Director of User Experience at BrainPOP from December 2014 to September 2016.

Before their time at BrainPOP, Hom worked as a UX Manager at CK-12 Foundation from February 2013 to October 2014. In this role, they managed a team of interaction designers, improved product usability, and directed the UX team to create a shared aesthetic across CK12.

Earlier in their career, Hom held various positions at McGraw-Hill Higher Education. From June 2011 to February 2013, they served as the Associate Director of User Experience, leading a team of information architects, interaction designers, and business analysts. Prior to this, Hom worked as a Senior Information Architect at McGraw-Hill Higher Education from March 2007 to June 2011, where they created wireframes and prototypes for online assignment applications, collaborated with stakeholders, and conducted usability studies.

Other notable positions in Hom's career include a role as a Multimedia Specialist at The Grow Network/McGraw-Hill from December 2005 to February 2007, a Web Producer for the K-12 Services Division at The Princeton Review from October 2003 to November 2005, an Associate Producer for the K-12 Services Division at The Princeton Review from February 2001 to April 2002, and a Web Producer at Balduccis.com from July 2000 to February 2001.

Hom began their career as a Producer at BigStar Entertainment from March 1999 to July 2000 and as an Assistant Producer for Spier Interactive at Spier New York from February 1997 to March 1999.

Stephanie Hom pursued their education in a chronological manner. Stephanie began their educational journey by attending General Assembly from 2014 to 2015, where they focused on Front-End Web Development and Back-End Web Development. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Publishing from Pace University, attending from 1996 to 1997. Earlier on, Stephanie completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Anthropology from the University at Albany, SUNY, studying from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Stephanie acquired a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster in May 2010 from the Scrum Alliance.
