Kim Mayo

Kim Mayo has over 20 years of work experience in the legal field, with a strong emphasis on governance and monitoring. Kim has held various roles in local government organizations, including Head of Governance and Monitoring Officer at Braintree District Council since 2020. Prior to this, they were Deputy Monitoring Officer and Operation Manager, Legal and Democratic Services at Ipswich Borough Council from 2019 to 2020. Kim also has extensive experience working at Essex County Council, where they served as a Corporate Lawyer and Interim Deputy Monitoring Officer from 2014 to 2017, and as a Solicitor from 2010 to 2014. Kim began their legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at a law firm called Anthony King & Co from 1998 to 2002. Throughout their career, Kim has demonstrated expertise in ensuring transparent decision-making processes, establishing governance arrangements, and negotiating grant agreements and contracts.

Kim Mayo's education history begins in 1991 at Billericay Comprehensive School, where they studied for their GCSEs. Kim completed coursework in subjects such as Maths, Science, English Literature, English Language, German, Economics, Geography, and I.T. Kim attended the school until 1995.

Following their time at Billericay Comprehensive School, Kim Mayo enrolled at Billericay Sixth Form from 1995 to 1998. At the sixth form, they pursued A'Levels and focused on Law, Maths, Business Studies, and General Studies.

After completing their A'Levels, Kim Mayo went on to attend Anglia Ruskin University from 2001 to 2005. Kim studied Law and earned a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB Hons).

In 2006, Kim Mayo returned to Anglia Ruskin University to pursue further studies in Law. Kim completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the university, concluding their education history.
