Umesh Kumar

Umesh Kumar has an extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Umesh is currently serving as the Head of Product, India at Branch International since 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Flipkart as a Group Product Manager from 2017 to 2019, where they also held the position of Senior Product Manager. At Flipkart, Umesh led the Speed organization and the Promise platform team, overseeing strategy, roadmap, design, and execution. Before Flipkart, Umesh co-founded PickThemUp and served as the Head of Products from 2015 to 2017. Umesh also worked at Incture Technologies as the Head of Mobile Products from 2012 to 2015. Umesh has entrepreneurial experience as the Co-founder and Head of Products at DEMAZI from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, they have been a Member of the Core Team at Jagriti Yatra, a national entrepreneurship event, from 2009 to 2012. Umesh started their career at Infosys as a Module Lead for Finacle Banking Solutions from 2005 to 2008. Umesh Kumar attended Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya from 1993 to 1998, where they completed their secondary education. Following this, from 1998 to 2000, they studied at Magadh University, focusing on higher secondary education. Finally, from 2001 to 2005, Umesh Kumar pursued a B. Tech. degree in Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
