Adam Westman

Associate at BranchPattern

Adam Westman is an Associate at BranchPattern. Adam previously worked as a Wireless Networking Intern at C Spire from August 2016 to February 2017. There, they aided in new wireless systems for the University of Mississippi football stadium, providing free WiFi to students and guests during times of high load traffic, such as home football games in the fall. Adam also began a telehealth project in concurrence with University of Mississippi Medical Center's Neurology ICU in order to provide quality healthcare solutions to patients in rural or hard to reach areas through advancements in telecommunication technologies. This project aimed to aid patients such as stroke victims, removing the need for Life Flight by providing doctors in the Neurology center the means to communicate, diagnose, and prescribe with these patients without transporting them to the Jackson hospital. This could provide such life-saving medications as the new clot-busting drug tPa in near instantaneous time, avoiding the long and dangerous delay previously required with Life Flight transportation prior to treatment, allowing Neurologists to see patients and help local doctors in the proper administration of these necessary medications as soon as possible.

After completing their undergraduate degrees, Adam Westman attended the University of Mississippi for a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering with a Biomedical Emphasis. Adam also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the University of Mississippi, with a minor in Mathematics.

They work with Andrea Zugelder - Associate, Kanchana Anand - Associate, and Hetvi Vora - Associate. Adam Westman reports to Carina Medsker, Senior Associate.
