Chief Information Officer at Brandeis University

Jim La Creta, Ed.D. serves as the Chief Information Officer at Brandeis University, overseeing academic and administrative systems for a community of approximately 7,500 students, faculty, and staff since September 2002. Jim creates the strategic vision for the university's digital infrastructure, managing both annual IT operating and capital budgets. In addition, Jim is an Adjunct Professor, developing course materials and teaching courses in Organizational Leadership, Strategic IT Management, and Project Management. Previously, Jim held roles such as Executive Director of Technology and Capital Projects for Brandeis University's International Business School, and Program Chair for the Master's program in Information Technology Management. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education from Northeastern University, a Master's degree in Information Technology Management from Brandeis University, and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Emerson College.
